Last Saturday, July 16, Milton Pony Club held its 7th rally for the year and we couldn't have asked for nicer weather.
We welcomed new riding member Matilda and mum Meredith, with their pony Ziggy. All enjoyed meeting new friends and receiving some wonderful guidance from our volunteer instructors.
The rally started with chief instructor Gail Pollard guiding the riders through some flat work. Members then enjoyed an un-mounted information session on show preparation and braiding tails. A big thank you to Gail and her granddaughter Jorjah, who demonstrated this skill on Sophie's pony, Dusty.
Members were then coached by Ray Morton, receiving some wonderful instruction and experience with show jumping. The rally finished up with some sporting fun led by Gordon Case.
All members were lucky to be refreshed with the yummy canteen goodies that Colleen and Kerry served throughout the day. A big thank you to Julie Holtegge and Sue Perrin for all of their work behind the scenes.
