Lachlan Shaw, Andrea Boerkamp, Angus Jackson and James Otieno will spend 12 months working with local doctors as part of their medical degrees.
The University of Wollongong medical students are in their third year of medicine and are keen to get experience in regional practices.
Lachlan Shaw will be based at Ulladulla Endoscopy and living in Milton for the next 12 months. He is working towards becoming a rural generalist.
“I am looking forward to being part of the community,” he said.
“We are feeling well supported here already.”
As an outdoors man, the South Coast was the perfect placement spot for Lachlan and he plans to spend his weekends bush walking and fishing.
Andrea Boerkamp will be at the Milton Medical Centre. She is no stranger to the South Coast and has spent time at Moruya competing in skydiving events.
She grew up in Braidwood but moved to Wollongong for university. Her interests lie in obstetrics and gynecology however she is not sure which area she will end up in yet.
She has relocated for her 12 month placement with fiance, Angus Jackson who will be completing his placement at the Ulladulla Medical Clinic.
Angus is an avid surfer and grew up in The Basin.

James Otieno will also be at placed the Milton Medical Centre with Andrea however was sick on the day the students were due to start.
