The 22-year-old’s 208 points (20 tries and 64 goals) has helped last year’s runners-up finish the 2016 season undefeated and therefore claiming the minor-premiership.
“I think the girls this year have done an amazing job,” Murray said.
“With how many girls we have had playing each week to the games, as playing short each week wasn't easy.
“But we came together and we actually played some of our best football playing short.
“This year having majority of all the same girls as last year, we know how each other play and how to work off each other.”
After having the week off last week, Murray’s Bulldogs will play the Superoos, who defeated Kiama in extra-time last week, at 8.45am this Sunday at Michael Cronin Oval.
“Us girls are just focused on our semi this weekend and that’s all that is on our mind,” she said.
“We’re not jumping ahead and looking to the grand final.
“We are having a few big training sessions this week, which will get us ready for Sunday.
“We’re confident and happy going into the semis with the football we have been playing.”
This is the third straight year the Ulladulla resident has been the leading scorer in the women’s league tag competition.
“I couldn't have been top point scorer without my girls,” she said.
“If they didn't get over the try-line, then i wouldn't be kicking for goal.
“They always cheer me on, and keep my head up if i do miss a goal.
“To me, I didn't really think about it too much, I just go out there to have fun and play the game I love.”
This is also the third straight year she has been the leading point scorer at the Milton-Ulladulla club.
Murray’s 208 points on the season was the highest of any player, in any grade in Group 7 this season.
