The four confirmed councillors in Ward 3 are Patricia White (Team Gash), Mark Kitchener (Shoalhaven Independents Group), Bob Proudfoot (Shoalhaven Independents Group) and Kaye Gartner (Greens).
Ms Gartner pipped Country Labor’s Gillian Boyd by 175 votes for the fourth elected position.
The Australian Electoral Commission’s polling place manager at Ulladulla Civic Centre, John Bryant, said it was busy right from the start on election day.
“It was busiest very early on the Saturday - we needed to send out for additional ballot papers,” he said.
There was a total turnout of 22,027 ballots counted, representing 81 per cent of enrolled Ward 3 voters.
Total formal votes were 20,886.
Informal votes totalling 1141 represented 5.2 per cent of ballots counted.
