The Sunday, October 16 event saw club members compete in the regatta recognised by the Five Islands Club.
Two six man crews took part, with both master mens and women's teams.
An early start saw everyone there unloading the race canoe and setting up at 7am.
The ladies were first to face the starter on the roughly triangular 12 kilometre course.
Conditions on the lake were windy with strong spring sunshine heating things up.
The girls did well to come home with third in their age group after a long hot slog in a high class field.
The men’s race was next up later in the morning. A small but competitive field took off on the same course.
After a fast start and some canny turning manoeuvres the Mollymook boys came in fourth across the line and first in the master mens.
The club’s own measurement of the race course showed they did 13.5 kilometres, adding an extra challenge in.
