A NSW Department of Primary Industries helicopter has taken a aerial photograph of a large number of whaler sharks this morning.
The twitter account @NSWSharkSmart tweeted a picture of 17 whaler sharks in shallow water off Hyams Beach, Jervis Bay at approximately 9:30am.
The sharks are between 1.8 to 2.5 metres in length.
All swimmers have been evacuated from the water.
This follows shark sightings at Narrawalle Beach, Dolphin Point, Bendalong Beach, Wairo Beach and North Tabourie over the past 48 hours.
