The Thursday Night Ladies grand final was held on Thursday, June 22, with the team of Katrina Wooden, Jennie Rutherford and Julie Hoskin against Pam Germyn, Jenny Donohue and Cathy McDonald. The minor premiers Katrina, Jennie and Julie had a convincing victory by 5 sets (32 games) to 1 set (18 games) with Katrina and Julie winning all their sets. Katrina also scooped the players’ pool by winning the prize for the highest number of individual wins for the competition.

At the other end of the field, the bottom team, which won the wooden spoon was Jo Simon, Susan Loch and Jenny Richards. This shouldn’t happen again to Jenny though because she was chosen as the most improved player of the comp. Well done Jen.

Fee changes for non-members after July 1
Starting on Saturday July 1 there will be an increase in fees for club-organised social tennis as well as court hire fees for non-members only. Members’ prices will remain the same.
Non-members playing Tuesday morning and Saturday afternoon organised tennis with balls provided must now pay $8 and for Wednesday night, with lights and balls the cost is $10.
Court hire for non-members will rise to $20 per court per hour and $25 if playing under lights.
Groups who hire the courts must ensure that at least 75% of their players are members of the club in order to pay court hire fees at the members rate of $10 and $15 per hour respectively.

Due to the school holidays there will be no junior tennis next week and comp will start again on July 22.
School Holiday Coaching Clinics

Memberships Due Now
Annual club fees are due for renewal on June 30.
Fees remain at $31 for juniors, $42 for concession and $52 for Adults. There are also discounted rates for families.
