A Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) spokesperson confirmed work to demolish the old bridge and causeway has entered the final stages.
“RMS has worked with NSW Fisheries and the Department of Planning and Environment to successfully remove all unnecessary materials from the lake,” the spokesperson said.
“Work currently under way includes landscaping, as well as building access to local roads and nearby parking facilities.
“The entire $58 million project is expected to be completed in coming weeks, weather permitting.”
The spokesperson said the community will be kept informed of an end date, once finalised.
