Presented by the Albatross Musical Theatre Company, the show will run over six shows from November 16 to 24.
The musical will be a stark contrast from the company’s latest productions of Mary Poppins and Shrek Jr.
Based on the novel by Victor Hugo, Les Miserables is set in early 19th century Franc,e when life was a struggle and a group of young students made their last stand at the barricade.
It’s also a story of love and a search for redemption.
The music by Claude-Michel Schonberg, so well known to musical theatre goers, is both haunting, frivolous and powerful.
The Albatross Musical Theatre Company, created in 1975 at HMAS Albatross naval base by a group of service personnel, has become renowned for its professional productions that also maintains a strictly amateur status.
It is the love of musical theatre that brings all the performers, musicians and production teams together.
Members of the 60-person cast hail from as far north as Wollongong and as far south as Milton.
