The presentations were made at the Tennis NSW awards night in the Noble Dining Room at the Sydney Cricket Ground on October 25.

The awards were attended by President Pauline, Secretary Lynne, Coaches Kevin and Doug and Life Member Val Crook.

The award went to the 2018 Priceline NSW Country Championships Tournament at Forster.

Our representatives had a fabulous time on the night mingling with celebrities such as Ken Rosewall, Todd Woodbridge, Casey Dellaqua, Mark Edmondson and many others and gained an insight into how to best prepare the nomination for 2019.

Open Club Championships

There are still places left for members to enter the Open club championships this weekend. All players must be club members and can enter up to three events. Singles and doubles matches will be played Saturday afternoon and mixed doubles on Sunday morning with the finals of all events to follow.

A free barbecue and musical entertainment will be provided for players at the end of play on Sunday following the presentations. Pauline, Lynne and Mary Lou will be putting the draw together on Friday so please get your names in by 6pm Thursday.

Harris Scarfe Monday Ladies Competition

Results from Monday 29 October were: Div 1- Team Perrin defeated Team Loves 4 sets to 2. Lee Dickson played for Deb and Mel Doyle played for Hilary. Team Mennie defeated Team Stiller also 4 sets to 2. Kerrie Cassidy played for Chris and Di Farmilo played for Val.

Div 2 - Team Fox defeated Team Bennett 5 sets to 1 with Kyla winning 4 sets. Jenny Greenhalgh played for Mary Lou. Team Donohue defeated Team Potts 4 sets to 2.  Team Wright played Team Clough but unfortunately Team Clough had to forfeit so Team Wright won 6 sets to 0. Jenny Rutherford played for Bev and Aeron Johnson played for Norma.

Scoreboard points are: Div 1: Loves 51 ½, Mennie 45, Perrin 42, Cassidy 33 ½, Stiller 20. Div 2: Dunn 54 ½, Fox 53 ½, Clough 47, Bennett 40, Donohue 34, Potts 32 ½, Wright 26 ½.

Thursday Night ladies Competition

Last Thursday night results were: Team Simon (Jo, Naomi and Trish) defeated Team Blondinau (Melissa, Mary Lou and Sonya) 5 sets to 1.

Team Hannaford (Lee Dickson for Stacey, Margaret Ogilvy for Sue) defeated Team Donohue (Jenny and Kristy) 5 sets to 1. Unfortunately Team Donohue had to forfeit several sets.

Just a reminder that there is no tennis this Thursday night. Tennis will resume Thursday, November 15.
