PENNANTS: The 3's side at home had a nice 10/0 win over that grade's leaders, St Georges Basin. Unfortunately SGB are too far ahead to be beaten at this stage so congratulations to them. There was some very good played by both sides. The 4's away at Shoalhaven ExServos (Worrigee) had a 9/1 loss. The 6's at home played Sussex R.S.L who took home 9 points. The Mollymook winning team in that contest skip: Craig Lees, Col Milligan third, Dave Beavis Doug Hume all played beyond themselves at times indeed the manager Bill Easter presented the Managers Mug for the week to Dave who "had a blinder".

The score went Nick's way 26/19. The Open Pairs last Friday had 40 bowlers chasing that elusive jackpot, then at $640. Wallie The Menace had their chances but the computer won. Milton Ulladulla Women
Tuesday April 9 . Today we welcomed new bowler Belinda Barca to the Club. We trust she enjoyed her first game of bowls even though the weather turned a little cool towards the end of the morning. With our Grade 2 ladies on a bye and our Grade 5 ladies waiting to hear the result of a wet game being played up the highway we enjoyed a stress free day with lots of fun on the green.
Our lucky rink winners were Robyn Taylor and Carol Monte with the runners up being Maris Pin, Gerri Miller and Jasma Stallion. Raffle winners Carol Monte, Frances Mazurek and Billy (I need points!) the Barman. Before President Cheryl closed the day news came through that Sussex Inlet had gone down to Huskisson and so our Grade 5 were off to the Final on Thursday to play for the flag.
Thursday 11/4/19: The social players went out on the green with their thoughts up north where our Grade 5 ladies were playing in their Pennant Final against Culburra, supported by President Cheryl and Vice President Robyn.
Rink winners at home were Gerri Miller, and Bev Lapinski with the runners up being Sue Butson, Margaret Penfold and Frances Mazurek. Margaret Davidson, Lorna Sparke and Bev Lapinski took the raffle prizes home. News came down the highway our Grade 2 team had played out a 5 /0 win over Bomaderry keeping them in the lead so far with 3 rounds to play.
Our Grade 5 Ladies arrived back in the clubhouse with huge grins on their faces. They are the Grade 5 Pennant Champions for 2019. Celebrations apparently continued into the evening, led by Skipper Lyn Rippon, third Di Rupp , second Liz Wootton and lead Sue Jamieson. Well done ladies you have represented our club magnificently through out the season and deserved your title.

Milton Ulladulla Men
This week was all about the club pairs, with the second semi-final played on Wed. where we saw Barry Wright/Mick Duprez up against the pair of Sparkles Graham James. The game was fairly even with both teams playing very nice draw bowls, but gradually Barry Mick inched ahead and were never headed as they shut down so well the opposition bowls. They went on to take the game fairly comfortably and so booked their spot in the final against Paul James Chris Godwin.
Sunday saw the overnight rain clear off nicely leaving the greens a little bit heavier than usual, but the final was a real cracker with the lead changing constantly and no-one being able to break away from the opposition. It was that close that by the beginning of the 21st end the scores were even and Barry's bowl sitting inches from the jack. Try as they might Chris Paul could not shift it and so Barry Mick ran out eventual winners after a great exhibition of bowls. Well done to all four players, it was a great game played in good spirit in front of a very appreciative crowd.
Well, we are up to the last two rounds of the pennant season and we have two grades very much in the mix to win their competitions. With the 2's having a bye this week, we were honoured to have Mick Duprez umpiring both the 6's and 5's at home to see if they could continue their winning ways, and they proceeded to do so and thus stay in contention to take out their grades. The 5's got off to a fairly slow start but gradually wore Greenwell Pt. down, and with the four of Graeme Carriage,Dave Munt, Rob Morton and Charlie Fucile playing so positively especially Grassy who looks like he has got his mojo back, all three rinks finished very strongly to finish with a flourish to take the big board 10-0.
On the same green the 6's had a must win game against Berry and had a bit of a fight on their hands with two rinks having a real battle, but fortunately the John Taber team of Adam Best, Dennis Ogilvie and Alan Clark had a very convincing win of 29-14 and so managed to drag the club over the line for a 9 points to 1 win. The 7's played away at Sussex and the less said about that result the better needless to say they went down 0-10.
During the week we have had a few games of club singles with Adam Best having a win over Dennis Ogilvie; Dave Chandler then had a win over Adam; and Dave Munt was in good form against Grassy and had a fairly comfortable win. Don't forget to put your names down for Anzac Day triples; also Vets Supervets day at Berry ,your names must go up this week; also the club minor singles entry is on the board, get your names on that too.
Results for the week:- Wed. social:- winners:- Jeff Honey/ Lucas Cabrera/ Dave Chandler; runners up:- Don Edwards/ Jim Brett Bluey Wainwright.
Fri. social:- overall winners:- Dave Chandler/ Mike Frame 2 wins +11; runners up:- Simon Read/ Chris Godwin 2 wins +10; 1st game winners:- Lucas/ Bill Harris +7; 2nd game winners:- Stan Croker/ Graham Robbo.
