Shoalhaven City Council says there are concerns about the level of Burrill Lake, and are monitoring the situation.

"There are concerns around the Burrill Lake area, given that this lake is currently open to the ocean," the council said.
"Burrill Lake has experienced a significant spike, with water levels reaching 1.15 metres.
"This was due to the large ocean swell causing water to flow into the lake."
Rain is expected to ease over the coming days.
