Members of Manyana Matters community-based group are inviting members of the public to stand up for the environment.
The group, as part of its fight to save one of the last blocks on unburnt land in the Shoalhaven from being developed, has come up with another creative way to get their message across.
Tomorrow (Saturday, May 23) they will be hosting a 'stand-up for the environment day from 10am at Yulunga Reserve, Sunset Strip, Manyana.
Anyone who agrees the environment needs a break are most welcome to attend.
"We have a plan so humour us and bring a surfboard. If you don't own a board, beg or borrow one," a Manyana Matters spokesperson said.
"Alternatively, bring a pushbike and bike lock.
"All will be revealed on the day. We're going to have some fun."
The spokesperson added this latest part of the campaign will be "a COVID-cool and family-friendly event".
"It goes without saying, wear or bring a protest sign. Dress the little ones in characters from the Aussie bush," the spokesperson added.
The group says it's time to stand up and send a loud message to all levels of government that any further destruction to the environment. won't be tolerated.
