In the three days following the announcement Holiday Haven parks had around 1000 bookings, mostly for the June long weekend and July school holidays.
"When a number of our parks receptions opened at 9am on Wednesday there was a flood of inquiries coming through and ever since then there has been really strong phone bookings and online bookings," Holiday Haven marketing coordinator Matthew Del Turco said.

There are 12 Holiday Haven parks, all owned by Shoalhaven City Council and managed by individual contractors.
Mr Turco said it would be a while before parks would return to pre-virus levels as hygiene measures have had to be put in place.
"The demand seems to be there but we've had to put a couple of measures in place within our properties to ensure the safety of our guests, our staff and the community," he said.
"So we probably can't facilitate the levels that we were experiencing prior as we are having to restrict the number of camping sites to allow for social distancing.
"But in saying that the demand that is coming through at the moment, particularly for the July school holidays, and for the June long weekend has been really, really strong."
To still stay safe, as well as limiting the number of visitors, the holiday parks will be increasing the cleaning of high touch areas, restricting group gatherings and implementing an express check-in process to minimise contact with staff.
The parks had been operating over the lockdown but only for workers and essential travellers.
Visitors have been telling parks they're looking forward to coming back to support the Shoalhaven.
"A couple of managers have mentioned that guests are getting quite emotional and saying that they've been wanting to support the region post the bushfires and floods and they haven't had a chance to get down here.
"They're looking forward to coming down here and not just to support us but also the other local tourism operators and businesses within the region."
