A mayoral minute from Mayor of Shoalhaven City, Councillor Amanda Findley, will see the Manyana Estate issue tabled
The issue follows a strong campaign led community based group Manyana Matters aimed at saving one of the last unburnt sections of bush in the Shoalhaven from being developed.
The key part of the mayoral minute reads "council requests that the NSW Minister for Planning and Public Spaces, Rob Stokes MP requisition NSW State Government agents to undertake commercial negotiations with Ozy Homes to ascertain a value for the land - understanding the possible constraints in respect to Aboriginal Heritage and possible commonwealth listed species".
The Manyana Matters group have been pushing for the State Government to buy the land and save it from development.
The committee meeting starts at 5pm this afternoon.

Meanwhile, the Environmental Defenders Office (EDO) last week secured an undertaking on behalf of Manyana Matters from developer Ozy Homes to the Federal Court that they cease all activities on the controversial Manyana Beach Estate, apart from fencing around the perimeter of their property.
Ozy Homes has agreed they will not damage vegetation or cut through the estate before the matter is heard again in the Federal Court on Friday June 5.
Greens MP David Shoebridge, a strong supporter of the Manyana community, said the chances of saving the land from being developed is still "very much so" on the cards.
The Greens MP said it might take a three-way combination of funds from the State Government, Shoalhaven City Council and funds raised by the community from a possible crowdfunding project.
