Speaking in a press conference on Saturday, July 18, Dr McAnulty said anyone in the bistro during those hours should be tested for COVID-19 if they developed symptoms.
In the meantime, they should self-isolate, he said in a statement broadcast on ABC News.
Dr McAnulty said the measure was needed after a Sydney father and son visited the bistro on that evening.
They returned home on Wednesday, July 15 and subsequently tested positive to COVID-19.
They had also stayed at the Big4 Easts Riverside Holiday Park on Wharf Road on Monday and Tuesday nights.
Dr McAnaulty also warned anyone who was at McDonald's Albion Park between 2.-2.30pm on Wednesday, July 15 to watch carefully for symptoms and be tested if any emerge.
Dr McAnulty's warning on Saturday was stronger than the statement Southern NSW Local Health District released on Friday night.
Southern Health urged anyone anyone who attended the Batemans Bay Soldiers Club between 7pm to 9:30pm on Monday 13 July or the BIG4 Bateman's Bay East Caravan Park from Monday 13 July and Tuesday 14 July to come forward for testing, but did not mention self-isolation.
"Others in the community must watch for respiratory symptoms or fever, and if they occur, isolate and get tested for COVID-19 right away," Friday's statement said.
"To ensure people can get tested quickly, SNSWLHD has arranged a COVID-19 Pop-up clinic at the Hanging Rock Oval Car Park (near the function centre) on Beach Road, Batemans Bay.
"The clinic will be open from 9:00am to 2:00pm on Saturday 18 July, Sunday 19 and Monday 20 July, 2020."
