Club Captain, Adam Woodward, said community safety was one of their main priorities.
"We are all aware of the COVID 19 situation and we will carry out our duties accordingly to ensure the safety of our volunteers and the beach going public," he said.
"We are expecting a busy long weekend, the weather forecast looks good and the visitors are already turning up.
"We ask that when on the beach people will apply the social distancing rules, to be at least a towel distance apart, and importantly swim between the red and yellow flags so we can look after you and avoid any disasters."

The volunteer lifesavers patrol weekends and public holidays at South Mollymook between 10.am and 3 pm.
