The Ulladulla based facility is run by Safe Waters Community Care which exists to assist the most vulnerable people in our local area.
Safe Waters' role includes, but is not limited to, supporting people experiencing homelessness and social isolation.
It's run by a group of dedicated volunteers and shelter founder, Sarah Date, said more volunteers were needed.
"Can you spare even just one night a month? If we can get enough volunteers we would only need to do one overnight shift a month," Sarah explained.
"The overnight shift is actually the easiest, you get your own lockable room and double bed, start at 9pm, in bed by 10pm, up at 7am, have breakfast, and clean up with our guests and you're out of there as soon as you can.
"We are also looking for people to come in during the day to run programs around life skills so that we can open through the day if possible.
"This may include, cooking, sewing, budgeting, washing, housework and more."
