Food, laughter and inspiring women was the order of the day at Cupitt's Estate on International Women's Day (IWD), Monday, March 8.
Cupitt's Estate and The Women's Connection of Milton Ulladulla hosted a sold out luncheon and held a raffle, with various local businesses donating to raise funds for Treading Lightly.
This year's IWD theme is #ChooseToChallenge. Individually, we're all responsible for our thoughts and actions - all day, every day.
We can choose to challenge and call out gender bias and inequity. We can choose to seek out and celebrate women's achievements. Collectively, we can all help create an inclusive world. From challenge comes change.
The guest speakers for the event were Katrina Condie and Holly Rankin.
Katrina started her career at the Milton Ulladula Times and became the managing editor at 28.
In a tragic turn of events, Katrina and her family lost their home in Conjola Park on New Years Eve in 2019. She then lost her marketing role in 2020 due to Covid. In October 2020, Katrina took on a journalist position with 2ST and Power FM in Nowra.
