The Shoalhaven community member for 30 years passed away recently. Allan owned and operated a small business in Ulladulla and dedicated years to Lions Australia, serving as the District Governor and a loyal member of the Ulladulla Milton Lions Club, most recently as secretary.
Minister for Local Government and Member for South Coast Shelley Hancock offered her sincerest condolences to the family, friends and the entire southern Shoalhaven community.
"Allan's loss will be felt throughout the entire southern Shoalhaven community," Mrs Hancock said.
"His passion for his community was infectious. There wasn't a local project that Allan wasn't involved in, most recently championing a new Lions' Den at the Dunn and Lewis Centre."
Allan was passionate about bringing Christmas to life across the Ulladulla region, joining with a group of volunteers for over a decade to work with local businesses to decorate shop fronts with handmade decorations.
Mrs Hancock said she would be nominating Allan for a posthumous Australian Honour for his service to the South Coast community.
"I will miss my friend's drive, passion and commitment to our local region; it was truly unique. I extend my sincerest condolences to Ann and the McDonald family, and on behalf of the entire South Coast community, thank Allan for his tireless work for our region," Mrs Hancock said.
