Budawang have recommenced our horse-riding program at a new location, Trusty Steed Horse Riding Academy, with a number of classes having started early this term.
Horse riding is beneficial for so many reasons, it improves confidence and encourages social connections as well as working on more physical skills like balance and core strength.
The Budawang School community would like to take this opportunity to thank the Mollymook Beach Bowling and Recreation Club for their generous donation that makes horse riding possible for our students.
Budawang's senior school work experience students have begun a lunch order program once a week.
Students work on skills such as taking orders, collating information, counting money, heating food and then delivering the correct orders to classrooms.
It also gives our students an opportunity to order hot food for their lunch which is especially nice as the weather is now cooling down.
Yellow Class has been participating in a recycling program.
They collect the recycling bins from the classrooms then sort into the school recycling bins ensuring that any items that are rubbish go into the bin and items that can go to return and earn are kept aside.
Once a week the students then go to the return and earn machine and recycle the bottles and cans.
The students are working on increasing their independence in this task.
It is so good to see our students learning to look after the environment. If Budawang can do it, you can too.
