Magistrate Gabriel Fleming found Catherine Cummins pushed her ex-partner in the chest during an argument and placed her on a 12-month good behaviour bond.

Magistrate Fleming made note that Cummins had no criminal history and was of good character. 

“You have no criminal history except for where you lost it on this day,” she said.

“This has got the letters domestic violence (DV) next to it and you have got to be living under a rock to not know the communities’ concern around this.

“Whether it is man to a woman, or a woman to a man, it is DV. I know you understand this because you have no criminal history, but you need to reflect this.”
