For the past two terms students have been preparing chicken wraps and spaghetti bolognese for their peers as part of their life skills program.
The program includes shopping, preparing and cooking meals and cleaning, Budawang senior green class teacher Ania Mazurowska said.
“The main idea is for the students to cook by themselves when they finish the program,” she said.

The children had sold 100 meals and raised $300. Instead of using the funds at the school, the students and teachers decided to give back to Jindelara Respite Cottage.
“We want to say thank you to everyone who supports our program,” Ms Mazurowska said.
Budawang students use Jindelara for their work experience program and some students’ families use respite care when needed.
