The AGM on July 15, was well attended, and both the Trading Table and Biggest Morning Tea raised good amounts. Money from the Biggest Morning Tea will go to the Milton-Ulladulla Hospital Auxiliary.
Office Bearers for the year 2019-20 are: President - Lyn Youren, Vice-Presidents - Doris Blackshaw and Carolyn Perry. Honorary Secretary Kerrie Jarvis and Honorary Treasurer Val Brady. Our new Welfare officer and Delegate representative is Past President Lyn Newton. Match Committee and Selection Committees were both filled, but the Committee will now seek willing members to take on the Publicity and the remaining Social Committee vacancies. Please help if you feel able.
Last week saw the Semi-finals of the Minor Singles played on Tuesday when Val Brady defeated Debbie Boller and Diane Field defeated Carolyn Perry. In the final on Thursday the early scores were not too far apart, but in the end, it was the consistency of Di Field which earned her the title of Minor Singles Champion for 2019.
Congratulations to both players, and thanks to those who officiated during this event. Next on our calendar is the Major Consistency, which will begin on Tuesday 6th August. Please check the draw for your playing times.

The final of the Major/Minor Pairs has been delayed. We wish president Darcy a speedy & full recovery. No other championships have been played last week however readers please note that round 1 of the Veteran's Singles scheduled for last Tuesday (July 30th) will be reported next issue.
Social games during the week enjoyed great Mollymookian weather especially Mark Simpson from Queanbeyan who played Wednesday's triples. The lucky rink $20 vouchers were won by a 17/17 all drawn game: John Wilton, Chris Machon & Ivan Traves versus Jack Field, Croc Dunas & Craig Lees. The lucky losers Dave Bradshaw, Gary Allen & Kevin Ross with a lucky 13 score loss to Dave Clark, Mark Sommerville & David White (24). Friday's Open Pairs. Forty-two bowlers did battle for the $640 jackpot which eluded their efforts. However the $120 prize money went to Kerrie Jarvis & Eric Woodburn with a score or 11 on the five random ends. Mark's SHOUT was claimed by Ray Flinn & Andy Jarvis of District pairs fame & the KENO voucher was invested by the Sherriff & Croc. A PLEA from the Bowls Co-Ordinator & match committee men: "Please make sure you only put your name down once on the entry sheet. If twice it confuses the computer, also the duty officer!"

The second week of the Winter Carnival continued in the same vein as the first, with brilliant clear days and negligible wind which made for some very good, tight heads and some very good draw bowls.Again, the spoils were shared equally between locals and visitors and by the end of the week I think quite a few bowlers were looking forward to a bit of a rest. Over the two weeks a lot of new friendships have been made and quite a few old ones rekindled with promises being made to catch up again next year. A big thank you to all the helpers who, without their help, this bowls carnival would not be what it is and would not be as popular as it is.
