Australia Post's 2019 Community Grants program has awarded $1,198 to the group for its Eat, Meet and Participate program, which aims to brings people together through regular free lunches.

The project will encourage social connections and participation in community life for diverse people in the community who may be socially isolated, such as those suffering from mental health issues or those from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Milton Ulladulla Men's Shed Secretary Don Wilkinson said the funds will be used to buy a modern barbecue to prepare meals for social gatherings.

"The primary objective of this project is the enhancement of community wellbeing through participation and inclusion of those vulnerable to social isolation."
President Tim Jamison said the new barbecue complements the outside space at the new shed.
"It's not only for the men's shed, but also disability organisations and community groups who use the space."
