On Friday, November 21, the Lions hosted an afternoon tea at Dunn Lewis Centre, Ulladulla, for representatives from Kioloa, Bawley Point, Manyana, Lake Tabourie, Milton and Conjola fire brigades.
Over the past few weeks, NSW residents have seen that devastation fires in the north of the state have caused.
Some local members were also among the hundreds of volunteers fighting the fires, which have destroyed more than 300 homes since the run of catastrophic fire conditions in early November.
President Pam Watt said the Lions wanted to support the vital contribution the brigades make to the community. Members are not only fighting bush fires, but they're often first on the scene at road accidents.
"They're volunteers which makes them more special to our communities."
Upon receiving cheques, each representative praised the Lions for their tremendous support.
