Shoalhaven not-for-profit Empower Me Program is hosting an art exhibition with that exact theme and is welcoming entries now.
The exhibition is open to youth aged between 12 years and 25 years, seniors 60 years and over, and Aboriginal and Torres strait Islander people 50 years and over.
The idea is for both generations to come together and bond through a commonality and art.
"We can learn so much from one another and the exhibition will give the artists an opportunity to share their work and experience and connect with each other," founder Nikki Morris said.
Depending on venue availability, the exhibition will run between April 16 and 23 to coincide with Youth Week.The Empower Me Program covers Ulladulla to Ilawarra and hosts yearly specialised programs and camps with the oeveraching aims of; connection, kindness, resilience and self-esteem.
The programs focus on nature and creativity and qualified mentors plan engaging and educational workshops
With the focus on Nature and Creativity, the qualified and experienced mentors plan fun, engaging and educational workshops that promote optimal physical, health and wellbeing. The goal is to reduce the statistics of mental health in children and youth.
