Ulladulla is leading the charge when it comes to theft from motor vehicles. The issue has been an ongoing one but the common theme is always an unlocked car.
South Coast Police District Acting Inspector Luke Geradts urged everyone to not be complacent when it comes to clicking that electronic lock.
"Lock your car, Ulladulla, please lock your car," he said.
"People are opportunistic in how they target your car, they're not smashing windows."
While the incidents often happen at 3am, they're not uncommon during the daylight hours and are occurring at all times of the week, in a range of different locations.
If you need to make a report, contact the Police Assistance Line on 131 444 or lodge an an online form via the NSW Police Force Community Portal. Alternatively, the Ulladulla Police can be contacted directly on 4454 8599.
