The last Cultural Burn was held recently at one of the Ulladulla Local Aboriginal Land Council's [ULALC] properties in Narrawallee.
The project was run by University of Wollongong, involving the ULALC, local land services, and future indigenous leaders from Ulladulla Bateman's Bay and Bomaderry High Schools.
As it takes a 'community to heal country', the ULALC was grateful to have support and assistance from everyone involved so far.
If any mob locally want to get involved in future ULALC Cultural Burning Programs please send an email to shane.ulalc@gmail.com.
Meanwhile, ULALC was hoping to have a small community gathering for NAIDOC week, but due to COVID-19 the event was cancelled.
The Ulladulla Local Aboriginal Land Council does hope to hold another Healing Day, later in the year when the weather warms up.
