Police are investigating after a student was found with ammunition at Ulladulla Public School on Wednesday.

It is alleged the primary student attended the school with bullets, however did not have a weapon.
Staff were made aware of the incident, contacted Ulladulla police who attended the school and confiscated the ammunition.
Ulladulla Public School declined to comment however a Department of Education spokesperson said the incident was being treated seriously.
“The safety and wellbeing of students and staff is Ulladulla Public School’s paramount concern,” a statement to The Times said.
“Incidents of this nature will not be tolerated.”
The spokesperson said the school was taking appropriate disciplinary action.
