Starting at noon on Thursday, 14 employees of LJ Hooker Ulladulla walked more than 400 kilometres to raise funds for Kelli O’Brien, Dean Howcroft and the Cancer Outpatients Appeal Milton Ulladulla Inc.
Seven staff completed the evening shift and co-organiser Chelsea Gadaleta said there were a few tired legs when she spoke to The Times on Friday.
Andrew and Kylie Creech tallied more than 100 kilometres between them with Andrew finishing at 55km and Kylie on 50km.
Ms Gadaleta praised the support of local businesses who donated money, cakes, food for the barbecue and all important coffee.
She also thanked many of the individual who pledged to the cause.
“It’s just amazing what everyone does.”
The goal was to raise $3,000, but the walkers had exceeded expectations reaching $7500 by 10am on Friday.
Staff were hoping to reach $10,000 overall when final figures were complete.
