Shoalhaven City Council has welcomed two new ‘Take 3 for the Sea’ litter trucks to its fleet ahead of the busy summer season.
Milton artist Julie Sydenham painted the murals on the toilet block at Ulladulla Harbour and the northern end of Mollymook beach earlier this year.
The designs are aimed to create awareness of litter and plastic pollution in the ocean.

Shoalhaven City Council Mayor Amanda Findley said she was thrilled the decorated trucks were promoting such an important message to visitors.
“Take 3 for the Sea is a not-for-profit organisation that encourages beachgoers to take three pieces of rubbish when you visit, a great campaign to remind visitors to keep our beaches clean,” Cr Findley said.
“These trucks are out on the road now and we are so pleased to have them join our fleet of five existing, highly decorated litter trucks.
“These smaller litter trucks are used to service bins in our parks and on public land that is maintained by council.”
Staff were in the process of allocating more public bins ahead of the busy season and are welcoming feedback on their locations, Cr Findley said.
“Every year council is asked to put more bins in place and staff are doing their best to supply the need of the summer period however if you notice a public bin at capacity please call council on 4429 3111.”
