Last year Milton Show Society received a grant of $23,600 from the grant from the Veolia Mulwaree Trust to help build a covered dining area and kitchen facilities at Milton Showground.
Milton Show Society president Ken Leslie said the upgrades were opened with a special ceremony during the 150th show.
The dining area, complete with a roof extension, overlooks the showground where diners could enjoy watching showjumping events earlier this year.
The upgrades have also made the showground's kitchen resemble a commercial kitchen, Mr Leslie said.
Funds were also added by the Show Society, the Show Society Ladies Auxiliary and the Showground Management Committee to complete the construction.
Mr Leslie thanked Veolia Mulwaree Trust, the various groups who contributed financially, local paid contractors and volunteers from the Milton Show Society who provided labour.
The Veolia Mulwaree Trust was pleased to support the Milton Show Society's project to improve the dining room and kitchen facilities at the Milton Showground. The Trust provided a grant of $23,600 toward the project.
Trustee John Reynolds attended the 2019 Milton Show in March to officially open the project.
Mr Reynolds praised the Society for its efforts in improving the showground's facilities.
"Local showgrounds are such an important asset to small local communities for a variety of important events and the Veolia Mulwaree Trust is pleased to be able to support the development of facilities which assist these events," Mr Reynolds said.
