Getting supplies of food and medicines into the various villages was one of the main focuses of the Currowan Fire today (Saturday).
Residents and firefighters alike were both in need of supplies, particularly down in Bawley Point area.
The call for help was heard and supplies got down to the village.
Meanwhile, the fire is still alive and flaring in various parts of the South Coast.
It was upgraded from advice level this morning to watch and act this afternoon.
Firefighters also responded to outbreaks on both sides of the highway in the Shoebridge Lane area.
Work crews, on the highways itself, were busy removing dangerous and now weakened trees.
They hope to have the road open as soon as they can.
Things did get off to a great start this morning (Saturday) when Fire and Rescue NSW Station 477 Ulladulla had to respond to a suspicious fire just up from Canberra Crescent.
