On Tuesday, November 4 a Melbourne Cup day function was held at the Dunn Lewis Centre and was a most enjoyable time that included lunch and a number of activities.
One of the fun items was “pinning the jockey on the horse”, where the poor jockey was placed in some questionable positions– mind you, the players were blindfolded when they placed the jockeys.
The day club members were included in the guest list together with members and partners of the Milton Ulladulla RSL sun branch for lunch on Remembrance Day.
Members all met in the ExServos reception area after the formal Remembrance Day service at Kendall Cottage.
It was a memorable occasion and the Day Club members wish to thanks the ExServos for their outstanding generosity.
On the third Tuesday of the month the club was joined by Mr Tony Ireland, the optometrist at Eye Q, who gave an interesting and informative presentation.
Tony concentrated on the eye complaint macular degeneration and its causes and effects.
Tony’s detailed explanation and his generous and familiar style ensured all received a thorough understanding of the eye problem.
Thank you for an interesting and entertaining 45 minutes.
An important date for your disry is the Christmas lunch on December 16.
The Pigeon House RSL Day Club meets on Tuesdays at the Ulladulla ExServos.
New members are always welcome.
