A founding, life member of the Ulladulla Boardriders Club, Cazza was known and loved for his passion for the surf and his unblinking generosity.
Close friend and president Kurt Nyholm said Cazza was an irreplaceable character.
He was a positive, happy, go-lucky type of guy who had this infectious attitude.

“What was so beautiful about him was he was this left-field guy with rough edges who would just nurture everyone,” he said.
“Any new member to the club, he would always go out of his way and make people feel welcome.”
Kurt Nyholm said Cazza’s relationship with young, budding surfers was that of a rogue uncle, there to keep you in line but extremely caring at the same time.
“He was a positive, happy, go-lucky type of guy who just had this infectious attitude,” he said.
The Ulladulla Boardriders was his baby.

“He was always helping which was what made him what he was, always carrying things to the beach and just helping.
“The Ulladulla Boardriders was his baby.”
Cazza played a vital role in the formation of South Coast Disabled Surfers, whose commitment was unquestioned, said committee member Liza Butler.
“He would be the first to the beach every time and in the water all day,” she said.
“He would do anything he could to help people set up and help out the surfers.
“He was one of a kind.”
Cazza’s funeral will be held on Thursday, March 30 on the front lawn of Mollymook Surf Life Saving Club at 11am, followed by a wake at Mollymook Golf Club.
The family has invited all to attend.
