The annual RSPCA Cat-a-day Sat-a-day event, which will see cats from the Nowra Animal Shelter rehomed.
RSPCA Ulladulla Branch President Annette Cliffe urged people to come along on Saturday morning for some feline fine.
“People will be able to adopt a cat who needs a furrever home from the Nowra Shelter and also learn about responsible cat management and care for your beloved moggy,” she said.
“The team from the local branch have organised a day of fun with a feline theme, which should appeal to all cat lovers.
“There will be cats for adoption, a Cat Café, competitions and games. You can dress up as any kind of feline for the day and you may win a prize. Bring along a photo of your cat and it may win one of our special cat-egories; majestic, cute and unusual.”
Ms Cliffe said she had concerns about the “management of cats in our lovely natural environment here on the South Coast”.
"Cats can be maintained as indoor only or we can make special cat enclosures in our back yards to keep our cats in and consequently, keep our wildlife safe. Please help us manage the cats in our life responsibly,” she said.
“If you are having any problems in this regard, please come along and have a chat with one of our members on Saturday and who knows, whilst you are there, you may fall in love with a new furry friend.”
The event will be held on Saturday, October 14 from 10am to 1pm at the St Mary’s Church Hall in Green Street, Ulladulla.
