Pieta Newport, who decided to shave her hair in support of colleague Renee Effield, has raised almost $2,000 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. 

Mrs Newport said she opted for pink hair colour to help raise awareness. 

“it’s so people can ask me and I can inform them about breast cancer,” she said.

The shave took place in front of 20-plus people at the entrance to Capital Chemist, Ulladulla.
