Former Shoalhaven City Councillor, John Willmott, believes the feedback period for the recently announced preferred Milton Ulladulla bypass should be extended.

Mr Wilmott, who supports the preferred option announced by Transport NSW, said the period for comment should be extended past January.
He believes extending the feedback period past January would allow people to experience the true holiday traffic congestion period - something the region did not get during the last peak summer holiday season due to the bushfires.
Mr Wilmott said seeing and experiencing the heavy traffic congestion might change people's minds on the preferred option.

One thing he does not want to see is for the long-awaited project being delayed.
He fears the money for the project could be lost if the project suffers any lengthy delays.
The former local government politician said if there was a lengthy delay future governments could start eyeing off surpluses and the like, rather than putting money into infrastructure projects.
Residents, at this stage, have until December 20 to make comments.
The Milton Ulladulla Times has requested a comment from Transport NSW about extending the feedback period.
Meanwhile, a rally against the preferred option will be held this Sunday [December 13].
The Burrill Lake Community Association invites residents to participate in a rally to be held at 10am on Sunday, December 13 at Burrill Lake to rally against the preferred Milton Ulladulla Bypass route that would funnel traffic and create unnecessary congestion into Burrill Lake.
The Burrill Lake Community Association asks that everyone meet at the Lions Park on the southern side of Burrill Lake Bridge at 9.45am at the large picnic shelter.
The rally will then proceed to the corner Princes Highway and Canberra Crescent and should finish by 11.30am.
The Burrill Lake association has also invited various local representative state and federal politicians along with Shoalhaven Councillors to attend the rally.
